Turkish and British Foreign Ministers Meet

Turkish and British Foreign Ministers MeetTurkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu and British Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs David Miliband met in New York on Friday.

Davutoglu is currently in New York for the 64th term meetings of UN General Assembly.

Davutoglu and Miliband discussed Cyprus issue during their meeting. The two ministers shared the same views that the current situation in Cyprus was unacceptable, and a solution should be found.


They also took up Turkey's EU membership, and Davutoglu briefed Miliband about Iraq-Syria-Turkey-Arab League meeting which took place at Turkish House the same day.

Miliband conveyed views of Britain about Iran's nuclear program.
